Spiritual awareness is a state of expanded consciousness that involves recognizing one’s connection to something greater than the physical self. It involves seeing beyond the material world to create a deeper sense of purpose and inner peace.
But before you can activate full spiritual awareness, you must also develop personal awareness. Personal awareness is the first step in releasing old patterns that have been deeply ingrained in our consciousness. When we begin to pay attention to everything in our surroundings, but not react to them, our personal awareness begins to expose the hidden traumas and illusions that we have held onto.
Meditation is The Key
Meditation has been around for thousands of years. It was formerly used to help deepen our understanding of the sacred and divine forces of life. Today, it is often used to help us relax and lower anxiety and stress.
During meditation, the goal is to focus on one thing. This way, you get rid of the stream of thoughts that bombard our mind and cause stress.
A great way to meditate is to imagine yourself watching a big screen TV at a movie theater. Then imagine watching your thoughts playing out as images on the screen. This way you become the observer and you can remain calm and non-reactive emotionally.
How to Do Deep Breathing
Learning to breathe properly can increase your lifespan by improving lung health, cellular efficiency, and stress management. Diaphragmatic breathing, or deep breathing, enhances oxygen intake, which is crucial for cellular repair and function. But most of us breathe shallowly, high in the chest, triggering a stress response. So how should be breathe? Proper breathing is when we inhale deeply through the nose, while the diaphragm and abdomen push’s out. Then hold the breath for 3-5 seconds, and slowly exhale out through the mouth. Proper breathing is linked to improvements in sleep quality, digestion, and mental clarity.
